The first thing to remember is to shut off water to outside your house, blow out any sprinkler systems you might have and then unhook all hoses from hose bibs and drain them or they will freeze up and break the water pipes causing water flooding inside your home.
I’ve forgoten a time or two so I just thought a reminder might be needed.
